I hope he keeps doing good work, as this is a really nice first effort.
Mando Pro is a game that is very solid and a good time, but I can’t call it one of the best new Sterns. If you don’t put in what people love about the show, then the people have a hard time getting immersed in the theme. What would’ve made this game way better: Gina Carano’s Cara Dune, the droid IG-11 (voiced by taila watiti), and Giancarlo Esposito’s Moff Gideon. I want to love this game but damn the callouts totally make me lose immersion.
It’s assets only come from the characters and visuals from the show. JP integrates the story from the book with assets from the first movie. This is Unlike Jurrasic Park which has been adapted to multiple forms of media over the last 3 decades. This machine is easy for anyone to play, but after a few rounds no one in my family (wife+4 sons) wants to play it anymore, if there are other modern games around. The “moments” feel like the Coder and designer did their best, but didn’t work together.
I don’t ever feel like I’m being pulled into the game. That character played by Carl weathers is why (for me) the callouts on mando suck. this is all the vid assets disney would cough up? +”moments” include ship battle and pirates, fun, but not immersive. +modes, sub modes, armor & weapons to collect +code east to understand, but not shallow
